Finding time

I had to post this photo because it perfectly depicts the theme of our lives.

We kicked off the beginning of sumer by taking our first family outing to the park a few Sundays ago. It was a little nippy out still so Kaden stayed snuggled up in his worm balnkie!

Alexia had a blast exploring this new idea of one large toy! She had the same routine... climb the stairs, go through two tunnels and then make the difficult decision between two different slides.

In the end this slide became her ultimate joy and my ultimate scare! As Lexi made her way for the opening my husband, who was standing guard on the other side, yelled out "honey... go... catch her!" Apparently the first time Lexi tested this new slide, without hesitation, she flew down on her belly! And when I say flew, I am not over exaggerating because Nat had to run from one side of the slide to the other just in time to catch her in mid air! He turned her in towards him expecting some tears. She had a big grin from ear to ear and motioned to do it again!

O.k, as promised, here is my house hold decoration for this post. I love candles but this tea-light is lacking in decorative brilliance. So here is what I did with it!
I wrapped the midsection with metal wire, which can be found at any hardware store, and then placed it in a glass dish with white dry beans I bought at the grocery store. That easy! However I did use crazy glue to hold the wire in place but I learned that crazy glue does not hold up against the heat (who would have thought.) so I can't light them.

  1. Funny...I was just thinking today, "I wonder when I'll see a post from Salena again?" Love that candle idea. I just might steal it!

It's great to see you outside no matter the weather. You've done well teaching your kids to enjoy it too. When you were little you loved this giant slide that was twice as high and back then there was no sides, like that tunnel. Enjoy the nice weather.

    Love Mom/Grandma
